[VR Question]

I always wondered if its possible to track Position and Movement like Hollywood does with Motion Capturing using Cameras. Thats basicly what these Vive Motion Tracker Cubes also do or?

In an Article about Mocap they said with at least 3 low quality Cams(Playstation Eye recommented) from different angles you can do some simple tracking.
I tested it and indeed it works pretty fine for a Price THAT low.
With the Software iPi Mocap its even possible to track with Wii Controllers, Microphones(IDK how) and much more.
But simply said this Software is made for recording Animations, so how we could get tracking with Cameras working in VR? Ime sure there is some Software around the Web, yet i couldn't find something. - You may know more about it?

High-end VR DOES use motion tracking. That is the HTC Vive AND Oculus Rift.
