    i like the cliff house and all but when watching videos i want as little distraction as possible so either some sort of full screen or total darkness around the screen

    There isn't an easy way to do this in the Cliff House. I would recommend using BigScreen in Steam VR for watching movies that you have that are not from Microsoft.
