    I have a progressive prescription for general use and a fixed prescription for PC use. I had the fixed prescription made for a distance of about 24 inches. I am going to update my prescription before buying inserts and am seeking advice on what I should tell my optometrist to ensure the lenses are appropriate for VR in my Oculus.

    My wife uses the far vision on her bifocals for the 2 times I got her in my Vive. My optometrist said that most VR units approximate FOV at about 30 feet. He made sure my far vision was prescribed correctly, and now I have contacts that work well for VR.
