Does anyone have experience with the Freefly VR? The unique thing about it is that it provides 120° FOV, a rarity among mobile based HMDs. On the other hand, lens distance cannot be adjusted.

Woaaah I hadn't heard about this one but now I'm really curious too, it almost sounds too good to be true. I hope someone around here has tried one out, and can report some results.

Haven't tried it yet. 120 FOV would be a trip!

I have been using the Freefly VR with my Samsung S7 to view 360 videos shot on a fly360 4K Camera.
I'm using the 'VR Media Player' app for Android.
The headset works quite well, sat in a swivel chair with headphones, it is quite immersive...
But the supplied Bluetooth 'Glide Controller', whilst paired nicely with the phone, will not control this media player...
Anyone know a 360 video viewer that can be controlled with the 'Glide' ?

I haven't tried this out, but I agree. 120 degree FOV would be awesome.

First time I heard about it was in this post:

But I still think it's a little pricey, I think having 120 degress FOV is a plus and a contra, because I guess it's stretching the image from the screen more than other and making the Pixels more visibles, even if I don't care most of the times about the SDE (screen door effect) if the VR experience is immersive enough I think you are sacrificing one thing for the other.
